Lithium fluorate (LiF) is an inorganic compound consisting of lithium cations (Li+) and fluoride anions (F-). It is a white, crystalline solid with a high melting point of 845 degrees Celsius. Lithium fluorate is highly soluble in water and is often used in electrolysis, as a flux for welding and soldering, and in nuclear reactors as a coolant and neutron moderator.

Additionally, it is utilized in the production of optical materials and in the synthesis of other fluoride compounds. Due to its low toxicity and stable properties, lithium fluorate has become a valuable compound in various industrial applications.
